Goodbye 2019

What an incredible year!

Some personal reflection

This past year brought so many new challenges and opportunities. At times it was difficult, but I’m grateful for the experiences (both good and bad) because they brought with them growth, strength and a little bit of insight into something bigger than us all.

I’m most proud of following my gut and walking away from a job that wasn’t quite right to pursue new opportunities. On the eve of my one year anniversary at Redglass, I reflect on the success of "History of Memory," an episodic documentary short series with HP that I was so fortunate to be part of.

Each episode tells the story of a person whose life was forever changed by a single photograph. The fourth and final episode entitled "It's A Boy" published on November 23rd to coincide with National Adoption Day. Another episode in the series entitled "Secret Album" was an official selection at The Video Consortium's November Gathering in New York.

The series won numerous awards during its festival run in 2019, including a Tribeca X Award for Best Documentary Series, Best Shorts Spotlight Award at the SCAD Film Festival, a MINT Film Festival Award for Best Documentary Short Film, and the Northeast Film Festival Award for Best Documentary Short.

In addition to producing and editing, I’m grateful for the opportunity to flex many muscles here, including business development and social media. Help me get Redglass Pictures' work seen by sharing it with a friend, and following us below @redglasspics on FacebookInstagramTwitter and Vimeo.

On a personal note, Frank and I just adopted a puppy named Grace, and we couldn’t be happier if we tried. She’s so awesome that in addition to learning how to “sit” at the tender age of 10 weeks, she was also recently selected as the official mascot for Redglass.

Life is damn good.

Until next time,

Heath
